The format of "Written Pledge" for Residence track was revised on 30 October 2020.

This form is one of the requirements for visa application at Japanese Embassy by COE holders who have due reasons for their urgent and inevitable entry to Japan in the midst of the current COVID-19 pandemic.  You need it upon landing on Japan too.

The Pledge needs to be filled out by accepting organizations, not individuals.  The accepting organizations shall bear heavy responsibility for keeping their pledge and there are certain penalties for violation.

The Pledge is in Japanese.  But you need to understand it fully before filling out or before asking your company to filling it out.  The below translation is not official. WATABE Office prepared it for your reference only.
